Dr. Paul MacKoul, MD is a value driven health care professional leader in the field of Gynecologic surgery, dedicated to developing innovations in surgery that create “Value Based Care” - the best possible care at the lowest possible cost. Currently, Dr. MacKoul is the Co-founder of the Center for Innovative GYN Care and Chief Executive Officer of Tower Surgical Partners, both specializing in advancing single specialty GYN surgery centers.
Dr. MacKoul's commitment to creating “value based care” began when he undertook a fellowship in Gynecological Oncology, as this is the highest level of surgical training in the field and focuses on surgically managing complex gynecological issues and cancers. He then gained experience working with leading GYN Oncologists before taking up his role as Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Washington Hospital Center (WHC). This inner city-based facility required dedication and devotion to many patients who would not have been able to access insurance or afford medical treatment. While there, Dr. MacKoul worked hard on incorporating minimally invasive surgery into his treatments which offered faster recovery times and allowed patients to leave hospital quicker so they could start receiving treatment sooner.
